HEVC
The JCT-VC established HEVC screen content coding test model 5 at its 21st meeting (June 19th to June 26th, 2015, Warsaw, Poland). This document serves as a source of general tutorial information and also provides an encoder-side description of test model 5.
This document provides the results of the subjective evaluation activity performed to compare the compression performance of the HEVC and AVC video coding standards on interlaced-scan and format range extensions (RExt) video test material. In particular, compression tests were performed on 8 bit 4:2:0 interlaced-scan video, 10 bit 4:2:2 progressive-scan video, and 10 bit 4:4:4 progressive-scan video test material.
This document describes the core experiment 3 (CE3) on objective metrics for evaluation of HDR video compression established at the 112th MPEG meeting. The CE relates to objective evaluation of HDR and WCG video coding technologies.
This document describes the core experiment 2 (CE2) on HDR reconstruction approaches established at the 112th MPEG meeting. The CE relates to HDR and WCG video coding technologies and focuses on the reconstruction of an HDR video from the output decoded video from an HEVC Main 10 decoder. In this CE, only solutions implying changes to the HEVC specification are considered.
This document provides description of Core Experiment (CE) 1 on optimizations without HEVC specification changes.
This is a proposed draft amendment to the conformance testing specification for HEVC to add conformance test support for the SHVC scalable extensions of the HEVC standard.
This is a proposed draft amendment to provide a conformance test specification for the format range extensions (RExt) of the HEVC video coding standard and to improve the prior conformance testing capability for the prior version of the HEVC standard.
This is a proposed draft amendment to the reference software for the HEVC video coding standard to provide reference software support for the SHVC scalable extensions.
This document contains tutorial information for the screen content coding (SCC) extensions of the HEVC video coding standard and a description of the algorithms implemented in its reference software.
This document provides tutorial information about the SHVC scalable video coding extensions of the HEVC standard and the algorithms implemented in the associated reference software.
