VVC
The JVET established the Versatile Video Coding (VVC) draft 8 and the VVC Test Model 8 (VTM8) algorithm description and encoding method at its 17th meeting (7–17 January 2020, Brussels, BE). This document serves as a source of general tutorial information on the VVC design and also provides an encoder-side description of VTM8.
This document is draft 1 of a conformance testing specification for Versatile Video Coding (VVC).
The JVET established the Versatile Video Coding (VVC) working draft 7 and the VVC Test Model 7 (VTM7) algorithm description and encoding method at its 16th meeting (1–11 October, Geneva, CH). This document serves as a source of general tutorial information on the VVC design and also provides an encoder-side description of VTM7.
The JVET established the Versatile Video Coding (VVC) working draft 5 and the VVC Test Model 6 (VTM6) algorithm description and encoding method at its 15th meeting (19–27 3–12 July, Gothenburg, SE). This document serves as a source of general tutorial information on the VVC design and also provides an encoder-side description of VTM6.
This Recommendation | International Standard specifies a video coding technology known as Versatile Video Coding. It has been drafted by a joint collaborative team of ITU-T and ISO/IEC experts known as the Joint Video Experts Team (JVET), which is a partnership of the ITU-T Video Coding Experts Group (VCEG) and the ISO/IEC Moving Picture Experts Group (MPEG). It has been designed with two primary goals.
This Recommendation | International Standard specifies the syntax and semantics of supplemental enhancement information (SEI) messages. The SEI messages defined in this standard may be conveyed within coded video bitstreams in a manner specified in a video coding specification or may be conveyed by other means as determined by the specifications for systems that make use of such coded video bitstreams.
The JVET established the Versatile Video Coding (VVC) working draft 5 and the VVC Test Model 5 (VTM5) algorithm description and encoding method at its 14th meeting (19–27 March 2019, Geneva, CH). This document serves as a source of general tutorial information on the VVC design and also provides an encoder-side description of VTM5.
Draft 5 of Versatile Video Coding.
This document is a preliminary draft of a new standard called Versatile Video Coding (VVC), which has the goal of having substantialy improved compression capability relative to that of prior standards such as High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC).
The JVET established the Versatile Video Coding (VVC) working draft 4 and the VVC Test Model 4 (VTM4) algorithm description and encoding method at its 13th meeting (9–18 January 2019, Marrakech, MA). This document serves as a source of general tutorial information on the VVC design and also provides an encoder-side description of VTM4.
