CDVS
This document describes databases, interfaces, performance criteria, and evaluation procedures to be used for evaluation of responses to the Call for Proposals on Compact Descriptors for Visuals Search (WG 11 document N12201).
MPEG is planning standardizing technologies that will enable efficient and interoperable design of visual search applications. In particular we are seeking technologies for visual content matching in images or video. Visual content matching includes matching of views of objects, landmarks, and printed documents that is robust to partial occlusions as well as changes in vantage point, camera parameters, and lighting conditions.
This document describes the training procedures used in the development of the Compact Descriptors for Visual Search (CDVS) Test Model (TM).
For all information relating to CDVS encoding, decoding, conformance, reference software and usage, see ISO/IEC FDIS 15938-13 and ISO/IEC CD 15938-14.
This part of the MPEG-7 standard provides the reference software, specifies the conformance testing, and gives usage guidelines for ISO/IEC 15938-13: Compact descriptors for visual search (CDVS). CDVS specifies an image description tool designed to enable efficient and interoperable visual search applications, allowing visual content matching in images.
