Internet Video Coding (IVC) is an effort to produce a video coding standard whose baseline profile complies with the IVC CfP and is thus suitable for the usage models that are prevalent on the Internet. This work originated with a proposal made by a group of Chinese Universities. This Experiment document includes descriptions of investigations of coding modules in IVC test model 14.1, to be performed for the upcoming May/June 2016 MPEG meeting. The experiment is divided into 6 subtests. In subtest 1, encoder optimization techniques will be explored. In subset 2, methods for reducing the number of reference frame buffers in decoder side will be explored. In subtest 3, methods for B frame coding will be explored. In subset 4, methods for intra prediction will be explored. In subset 5, methods for large block structure will be explored. In subset 6, OBMC will be explored.
