Parser Instantiation from BSD

This proposed draft amendment specifies (draft) FU and FN descriptions for support of parser instantation from BSD (ISO/IEC 23001-4:2014/AMD1).
NOTE This amendment includes reference to Clause 9 of ISO/IEC 23002-4:2014, which will be inserted by ISO/IEC 23002-4:2014/Amd2: FU and FN descriptions for HEVC.

This amendment is to improve description capability of RVC-BSDL as a decoder description language in order to facilitate the bitstream parser FU instantiation from BSD.

This part of ISO/IEC 23001 defines the methods capable of describing codec configurations in the so-called reconfigurable video coding (RVC) framework. The objective of RVC is to offer a framework that is capable of configuring and specifying video codecs as a collection of “higher level” modules by using video coding tools. The video coding tools are defined in video tool library. Part 4 of ISO/IEC 23002 defines the MPEG video tool library.
