This working draft of an amendment for potential standardization specifies FU and FN descriptions supporting the implementation of the HEVC (ISO/IEC 23008-2) Main profiles (Main, Main-10, Still Picture) and extensions for scalable HEVC (SHVC) and multiparser based parallel processing implementations.
This proposed draft amendment of the HEVC standard (Rec. ITU-T H.265 | ISO/IEC 23008-2) will specify additional supplemental enhancement information to assist in processes related to decoding, display or other purposes. The initially planned content for this amendment includes specification of SEI messages relating to the following topics:
• Content colour volume, describing the colour characteristics of the video content.
