CICP

This is a list of problems reported in the text of the Video CICP standard.

This document discusses video signal property description code points and their combinations that are widely used in production and video content workflows. Video properties and values are usually expressed in "metadata" that can exist across production and distribution workflows. Knowledge of these properties and their combinations has value as content is processed in the end-to-end production-to-distribution workflow chain.

This document contains a list of reported errata items for HEVC, AVC, and Video CICP, for tracking purposes. Some of the items have been confirmed by the JCT-VC and have been agreed to require fixing, while some other items have not yet been confirmed.

This document is a proposed draft technical report (PDTR) that discusses video signal property description code points and their combinations that are widely used in production and video content workflows. Video properties and values are usually expressed in "metadata" that can exist across production and distribution workflows. Knowledge of these properties and their combinations has value as content is processed in the end-to-end production-to-distribution workflow chain.

This document contains a draft of a technical report on prominent video property description points combinations applied in the production industry. This output document is to be used for a discussion on a planned Technical Report (23091-4), which is a non-normative document of industry best practices on describing existing combinations of video properties, some of which are coding points and their representations in different carriage systems.

This working draft for a new International Standard defines various code points and fields that establish properties of a video (or still image) representation and are independent of the compression encoding and bit rate. These properties may describe the appropriate interpretation of decoded data or may, similarly, describe the characteristics of such a signal before the signal is compressed by an encoder that is suitable for compressing such an input signal.

This proposed draft amendment provides additional video code points for ISO/IEC 23001-8. The additional video code points enable the expression of additional types of transfer characteristics, colour primaries, and matrix coefficients that are expected to become commonly used for future video applications.
