Main results of Tokyo meeting

MPEG-2

1. Part 10 of the MPEG-2 standard (DSM-CC Conformance Testing) has been approved as a Final Committee Draft.
2. An amendment to define a higher level of the 4:2:2 profile has been started.

MPEG-4

1. The MPEG-4 standard has reached the stage of Final Committee Draft.
2. A new workplan for MPEG-4 Verification Tests has been approved

3. A new Working Draft of the MPEG-4 Systems version 2 standard has been approved. This contains:

4. A new Verification Model for SNHC version 2 has been approved. This contains:
   • Body Animation
   • 3D model coding

MPEG-7

1. Further progress has been made on the way to evaluate MPEG-7 proposals.
2. An Advance MPEG-7 Call for Proposals has been published
