1.         Automatically generate the MPEG-7 Dictionary and MPEG-7 Types Reference, based on the FCD

2.         Generate an inventory of duplicated entries and to review the duplications so as to provide feedback in order to harmonize semantics and names of duplicated entries

3.         Produce a draft proposal for a methodology for future metadata integration with other standards, considering using RDF (m7081) and also the Semantic Web initiative

4.         Continue the efforts in harmonization between MPEG-7 and TVA description tools, including controlled term thesauri, by continued information exchange between MPEG-7 and TVA and by considering feedback from TVA.

AHG Describing Terminal Capabilities for UMA

AHG on MPEG-7 Systems

Mandate:

1.         Complete the editing of FCD 15938-1 (Systems) by March 14th.

2.         To solicit improvements to FCD 15938-1 (Systems) in the area of timed transport of MPEG-7 data, specifically generic semantics that can be mapped to arbitrary delivery layers, taking as an example MPEG-2 Systems PDAM on the Carriage of Metadata on MPEG-2 Systems transport.

3.         To analyze FCD 15938-5 (MDS) in order to identify requirements on the concepts mentioned in item 2.

4.         Produce a study of FCD 15938-1 (Systems) with respect to item 2.

5.         To ensure that the MPEG-4 file format can embody the concepts defined in item 2.

6.         To derive a walk through of the usage of MPEG-7 with MPEG-4 content.

7.         To revise MPEG-2 Systems PDAM on the Carriage of Metadata on MPEG-2 Systems transport.

8.         Identify major issues of concern, provide input contribution.

9.         If it is acknowledged that the issues can only be resolved by a meeting hold the meeting.

AHG on MPEG-7 DDL

Mandate:

1.         Provide a study  MPEG-7 DDL FCD

2.         To refine the subset of XML Schema and the extensions necessary to satisfy MPEG-7 DDL requirements

3.         Continue the developmentof an MPEG-7 DDL parser based on any existing solution

4.         To resolve any DDL open issues. This includes:

5.         To evaluate complexity of the available DDL tools,

6.         To evaluate if the DDL fulfills the "backward/forward" compatibility requirements,

7.         To consider any unresolved comments.

8.         To continue the liaison with W3C. This includes:

9.         continued tracking of XML Schema developments;

10.   input of specific MPEG-7 requirements to the XML Schema W3C Working Group;

11.   dissemination of relevant W3C WG documents back to MPEG-7.

  2. Execute the workplan for mini experiment by the next 57th meeting.

  4. Investigate the integration of the BiM software in the XM.
  5. Assess the impact of the BiM on the extension of the DSs

Mandate:

1.         Improve study text of 14496-1:2000/DCOR1,

2.         Improve text of technology under consideration for integration 14496-1:2000/FPDAM2 (Mediasensor, MediaControl, …);

3.         Produce WD 3.1 for 14496-1:2000/Amd4 (AFX and Multi-users functionality)

4.         Discuss M6683 (Amendment to the VRML specification on geo. Application, NURBS, …).

5.         Produce data test as described in the CfP on BIFS coding for interpolators and assess the answers to the CfP.

6.         Develop a specification with new BIFS updates, multiple replace, global quantization and dead reckoning.

7.         Create an experiment on streaming text with a clear operational application environment.

8.         Assess how BIFS configuration information can be re-organized in static and updateable parts.
