Overview and Dates

The MPEG Swiss Meeting will take place from April 1st to 7th 2006 in Montreux/Switzerland, under coordination of SwissMedia.

SwissMediaSwiss ICT and Multimedia Association is a non-profit organization developing and helping the entrepreneurship by offering marketing, communication and information tools for SME’s and start-ups companies. Conferences and meetings organization is part of the regular work of the association. SwissMedia is located in the SwissMedia-Center, ICT Technopark in Vevey/Switzerland.

 The meetings will start at 9am on Saturday, April 1st and end on Friday, April 7th in the evening.

Montreux Convention Center

Situated in the heart of Montreux, directly beside Lake Geneva, the Congress Centre offers much more than just conference space. This exceptional venue, accessible on foot from the town's hotels, extends over 18'000m2 of flexible space. In addition to its modern facilities, the centre offers a comprehensive range of technical, logistical, PCO and organizational services.

Registration will start January, 2006.

Hotel accommodation:

Rooms have been negotiated with hotels close to the venue in Montreux.

The rates will vary between 70 €  and  140 €  including breakfast.

Reservations:

Hotel  reservations can be made online in the same time as the registration.

All participants will have to pay directly the hotel bill at their hotel.

Deadline for hotel reservations:  January 31st, 2006

After this deadline, attendees have to make their own and direct hotel reservation.

All the hotels are located within 5 minutes walking distance from the Convention Center.

All accommodations are to be paid individually and directly to the hotel.

Accomodation made after the 1st of march will be majored by 25 euros per reservation.

Take the A9 motorway in the direction of Simplon-Grand St-Bernard, exit at Montreux, go down to the lake and turn left.

From Zürich : 2 hours
A1 motorway in the direction of Bern-Basel-Dietikon to the Geneva-Lausanne-Neuchâtel sign, motorway A12, interchange direction Vevey, motorway A9, Montreux exit, go down to the lake and turn left.
