  3. Specifically, map the proposed Extended Dublin Core and SMPTE Metadata Dictionary V. 1.0 elements to the DSs and determine the suitability of individual common elements for inclusion in the DS.

Mandate:
  1. Proposed text for hint tracks for UDP, RTP, MPEG-2 TS and possibly local playback.
  2. Work is EBU to map Broadcast Wave into MP4.
  3. Conduct the discussions on MP4 and produce a study of MPEG-4 Version 2 FCD.
  4. Provide software for the IM1 Version 2 platform.
  5. Support the audio/video/systems group conformance activity in their use of mp4 as the format for bitstream exchange (specification, software and examples).
  6. Evaluate the performance of progressive download and display of MP4 file and improve the current specification if appropriate.
  7. Contribute to the conformance part for MP4.

N3034 Ad-hoc Group on MPEG-4 Intellectual Property Management & Protection (MPEG-4 IPMP)
Mandate:
  1. Work on IPMP Implementation Studies with ISG and Im1;
  2. Continue the effort to find possible candidates for the Registration Authority for IPMP Systems as described in §8.3.2.5 of the FDIS;
  3. Work on the "Advanced IPMP Descriptors" proposal (m4972) by MPEG-PF:
  • Evaluate the functionality added by the proposal.
  • Evaluate if such functionality is needed to be included within the normative part of the MPEG-4 standard in order to improve interoperability between different IPMP systems.
  1. Evaluate if provision of informative text or standards for digital rights management technologies (such as digital watermarking) is of benefit for MPEG-4 (e.g. for quality assessment) and make a recommendation on this.
