MPEG-2

  1. Final approval of Amendment 7 to MPEG-2 Systems "Transport of ISO/IEC 14496 data over ISO/IEC 13818-1"
  2. Start of a new Amendment 7 to MPEG-2 Video "Video elementary stream supplemental information"
  3. Final approval of Amenddment 2 to DSM-CC "Addition to support Synchronized Download Services, Opportunistic Data Services and Resource Announcement in Broadcast and Interactive Services"

MPEG-4

  1. Part 4 (Conformance Testing) of MPEG-4 version 1 has been finally approved as a FDIS.
  2. Part 1 (Systems), 2 (Visual), 3 (Audio) and 6 (DMIF) version 2 have been finally approved.
  3. Part 4 (Conformance Testing) of MPEG-4 version 2 has been approved as PDAM.
  4. Part 1 (Systems) and Part 2 version 3 have been approved as PDAM.
  5. The results of the MPEG-4 Audio version 2 verification tests have been published
  6. A call for evidence of performance of new video coding algorithms has been published

MPEG-7

  1. The subdivision of the MPEG-7 work item has been approved. The subdivison corresponds to the actual part structure of the standard

MPEG-21

  2. A workshop co-located with the Noordwijkerhout meeting will be held on 00/03/21-22
