Logistic Information

Overview and Dates
The MPEG Swiss Meeting will take place from 28th April to 2nd May 2008 in the Technopark ARCHAMPS Euro-Switzerland, under coordination of SwissMedia.
 

SwissMedia – Swiss ICT and Multimedia Association is a non-profit organization developing and helping the entrepreneurship by offering marketing, communication and information tools for SME’s and start-ups companies. Conferences and meetings organization is part of the regular work of the association. SwissMedia is located in the SwissMedia-Center, ICT Technopark in Vevey/Switzerland.

The meetings will start at 9am on Saturday, April 26th and end on Friday, May 2nd in the evening.

ARCHAMPS Technopark
Located next to the Swiss border in Haute-Savoie (France), the Site d’Archamps Technopole is a mere five minutes from Geneva. Practical because the Technopole’s dedicated A40 motorway exit (13.1), between Geneva and Annemasse, guarantees you the following access times :

Meeting rooms and other facilities

For the MPEG Meeting, the following rooms will be available:

1 plenary meeting room for 200 sitting places
3 secondary rooms for 50 sitting places
8 commission rooms for 10-15-20-25 sitting places (2 each)

All rooms will be equiped with:

Wireless access to Internet

Secretary and Helpdesk as well as business center

Registration and fees per participant:

Registration includes:
7 days meetings and conferences
Coffee-breaks (twice a day)

Lunches, Dinners and Social Event can be organized optionally but are not included in the fees below.

Hotel accommodation:
Rooms have been negotiated with hotels close to the venue in Archamps and some in Geneva.
The rates will vary between 80 € and 180 € including breakfast.

Reservations:
Hotel reservations can be made online in the same time as the registration.
All participants will have to pay directly the hotel bill at their hotel.
Deadline for hotel reservations: March 31st, 2008
After this deadline, attendees have to make their own and direct hotel reservation.

Visa for France (Schengen) and Switzerland – Invitation Letter
To attend the meeting, those participants how needs a VISA, you have to ask the VISA for Switzerland.

The organization will provide an Invitation Letter on demand. This letter will be send after registration and payment of the meeting fee by credit card.
The request form for Invitation Letter has to be fulfill, signed and send by postal mail to the Headoffice of the meeting.
